Trader Joe’s grocery chain has responded to the urging of environmental groups (including Greenpeace) and committed to transitioning to helping sea life. According to Greenpeace, TJ’s will first phase out the most endangered fish, and ultimately (by the end of 2012) sell only sustainable seafood. It will give detailed and accurate labeling information and work with scientific organizations to address problems such as overfishing and destructive catch methods.
